My experience at ACL can be described as somewhat new: I never thought that the possibility of being with 70,000 people could be possible, while the 70,000 people where divided in 8 stages with one band on each, all these in ONE PARK (This is where I get the sound-physics theory). I have no idea how the park could’ve ended alone, I got familiarized with people sitting on their blankets eating bagels, enjoying the show, and OF COURSE some other people that just kept Austin weird. My favorite performances during the 3-Day festival were John Legend, Passion Pit, and definitely KOL. Kings of Leon had their last song ‘Slow night, So long’ with the unexpected vocal leadership of Eddie Vedder!(Pearl Jam) Nobody noticed it was him, until we turned heads up to the monitors and noticed Caleb (KOL vocal leader) was coolly drinking water while the vocals were quite identically to Caleb’s. Sincerely, ACL makes the world give a 360 spin per second, and while you are part of it, it makes you want to have more music, more dancing, and feel the environmental Austin razz.
