REVIEW
Every single lady twilight-saga-fan is expecting at least in their hearts the release of the Twilight sequel: New Moon. Though no one in this world can still say what is going to happen, until November 20, we can say the fuss over it will be enough to make certain inferences:
· New Moon will replace Twilight expectations, just for two anticipated and irresistible factors: a big, six-pack Wolfman named JACOB BLACK (what happened to the cub of the first movie?), and a bloody, cool and deathly pack of Italian vampire royalty killers named VULTURI.
· New Moon will have more geographical marvels to show to the public, with sets in not only Vancouver, Canada, but also in the Italian territory (Umbria, Montepulciano).
· The movie is bringing up some spicy conflicts and the already well known triangle. The main problem is we all know how it all ends, so for the Jacob Team it will be difficult to see in the big screen the suffering (again) of the brawny Black.
· New powers, helped with the best of the American technology and a big budget, discharge strong pheromones that will surely attract guys and gals looking for a good sci-fi movie (but you are warned: love is in the movie package).
· Performances will be re-evaluated. Will the already known protagonist movie stars (the Robert Pattison-Kristen Stewart duo) shine more than a vampire in the sun? Or will the cast for the wolf pack and the Italian vampires steal camera with a good performance?
TRIVIA
The filmmakers feared Taylor Lautner would not be able to become fit enough in time. However, he was given the go-ahead after gaining 26 pounds of muscle.
Each member of the wolf pack had to have papers proving their Native descent. Spencer is Lakota (Sioux), Pelletier is Cree-Metis, Meraz is Purepecha (Tarasco), Gordon is Hualapai, and Houseman, who was discovered at an open casting call, is Cree.
During the filming of Bella’s birthday party, Jackson Rathbone got so into character that both Peter Facinelli and Kellan Lutz had to hold him back. During one of the takes, Elizabeth Reaser was knocked to the ground.
Because it took 36 hours to turn ‘Nikki Reed”s brown hair blond, it was reported that she would wear a wig to play Rosalie.
Noot Seear was painted completely white, in spite of not tanning for the previous two months.
Actress Brenna Roth gave actor Robert Pattinson a bottle of self tanner and a hair brush while on set as a practical joke. She was shot in the scene with him at a later time due to this prank.
Ashley Greene wore a different wig than the one she wore in Twilight, to portray Alice Cullen. She also cut her hair quite short so that it could fit under the wig.
Jamie Campbell Bower, who stars as Volturi member Caius, did originally audition for the role of Edward Cullen in Twilight (2008/I).
New Moon” is actually Robert Pattinson’s favorite book in the Twilight series.
Summit Entertainment green lit this sequel one day after Twilight (2008/I) had opened in theaters.
