CREEPY TIME: The Monkey, Stephen King

You may know me, and maybe you have seen me in the hall. And yes, I am the enigmatic beauty with the Versace gown. Ohm… well, not. I´m kidding: I am just the typical Prepa Tec teen with a bad haircut and lucky charms. Nevertheless, young fellows, you must know from now on the fact that I am an indubitable “terror activist”, an irrefutable common member of the occult, an incontrovertible sleepless phantom that looks self-destructively for the next frightful story that would steal my breath, waiting for midnight…

What can I say? I take in very serious consideration books, especially terror books. My passion has existed since I was six, when I felt sick and my mother found me and my father going downstairs in the hall of our department building, going straight to hell… but that´s another story, and today my instinct alarm has found a new acquisition, from one of my most viciously beloved authors: coming from the evils foundations of the hidden worlds, violating the laws of perception and common sense, here with you, comes Stephen Kinggggg!

S: Thank You, thank you.

F: Stephen King, I am grateful you are accompanying us today.

S: Anything for my fans, dear. What you wanna know?

F: Tell us about your short story, The Monkey…

S: Oh, a spine-chilling one. The issue is practically death and its disturbing inevitable arrival.

F: You have shown us death in so many ways, King! Tell us how it is coming this time.

S: Bluntly said: in the shape of a monkey. A toy monkey.

(…)

F: King, that´s certainly not creepy at all, not even “childishly” disturbing!

S: Hey, Just ask yourself: when a malign, incomprehensible and beyond understanding unstoppable force, really likes you, how can you get rid of it without getting insane?

F: Whoa, that´s an issue.

Readers, if you would like to experience pupaphobia, make an inferno with all your juvenile toys, and go fire the nearest toy store, you must certainly read this story. Read it, and have TOK thoughts (scary…)

Read the monkey online, in Spanish at:http://comarcadelosespiritus.blogspot.com/2008/09/el-mono-stephen-king.html

Or have a look at the library book (in English, for those who like the real thing): PS 3561 .I483 S5 1986

Have an eerie weekend… And happy pains!
